CPR Training Marathon The life you save with CPR is most likely to be the life of a loved one. 4 out of 5 cardiac arrests events happen at home Statistically speaking, if called on to perform CPR, the life you save will probably be someone at home (child, spouse, parent, friend) African Americans are almost TWICE as likely as Caucasians to experience cardiac arrest at home, work or other public locations and survival rates are twice as low as for Caucasians.

Positive Results Foundation On Friday May 6, 2012, The Youth Leadership Academy from the Positive Results foundation, led by Kandee Lewis paid a visit to the AAFF Museum. Firefighter Derwin Pitts and Firefighter Paramedic Mike Boutte were on hand to demonstrate how fast firefighters get dressed for an emergency. They also answered questions about their safety gear, what it takes to be a firefighter and their thoughts about leadership. Captain Burton, President of the AAFF Museum conducted a tour with the students that was followed by a BBQ outside in the Museum's courtyard. The YLA works in conjunction with the L.A. County Sheriffs Department. Deputy Cox from the LASD provided the grills and the BBQ for the students.
