Presenter: d’Lisa Davies, Retired Fire Captain for the Los Angeles Fire Department

The African American Firefighter Museum supports Black History Month by Celebrating African Americans in the Fire Life Service Industry

Captain Davies was the first African American woman hired at the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD).  She will talk to us about her personal experiences working in the Fire Life Service industry as well as what it was like to be the first African American woman working in a male dominated industry.
