A fascinating afternoon of African American firefighter history\, with guided tours\, activities\, and more\n\n\nThis is a great afternoon for the whole family\, with special surprises for future firefighters. You will: \n\nTake a 40-minute guided tour filled with stories and little-known details about the African American firefighters’ legacy here in Los Angeles\nExplore the grounds of our historic Fire Station No. 30\, which operated as a segregated firehouse from 1924 to 1955\nExperience a real fire truck up close\nEnjoy unique and fun photo opportunities\n…. and more!\n\nWe thank our community of supporters and look forward to welcoming you back for Sundays at the African American Firefighter Museum. \n\n\nABOUT OUR TIMED-ENTRY TOURS AND MUSEUM \nVisits are currently timed entry\, beginning with a tour. Tours start promptly at 1:00 pm\, 2:00 pm\, and 3:00 pm. Please reserve your ticket for the tour time you’d like\, and plan to arrive 15 minutes early. \nBefore and after the tour\, guests are welcome to enjoy additional museum activities available outside. \nAs additional dates are added\, they will be announced on Eventbrite and Facebook. \n\n\nCOVID-19 SAFETY PROTOCOLS \nTo ensure the safety of guests\, staff\, and volunteers\, the African American Firefighter Museum closely follows all standards established by the CDC\, local\, and state agencies. Admission is timed entry and tickets are limited capacity. \nBy reserving a ticket\, you agree to adhere to all museum safety protocols. These include showing valid photo identification\, proof of full vaccination or negative COVID-19 test performed within 72 hours as required by LA County and LA City protocol\, maintaining social distancing between parties\, wearing a mask\, and avoiding contact with objects and others. Home test kit results will not be accepted for entry. Staff reserves the right to remove any guest in violation of these policies. \nPlease do not enter the premises if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19\, or have had close contact with someone known or suspected to have COVID-19.
